Chatham Rotary Sunrise is hosting their third annual Ribfest as a community-based not for profit event. Proceeds from this event will benefit Rotary projects, including our commitment to the new Chatham Kent YMCA. Ribfest hosts award winning Ribbers from across North America compete and showcase their great food. This family oriented event offers live entertainment along with food and beverage vendors, and specialized products. Live entertainment draws over 30,000 people from across Chatham Kent, Lambton, Essex, Sarnia, London, Windsor and Michigan. This event not only promotes tourism to our beautiful community, but fosters a strong sense of community allowing neighbours and families to enjoy food, entertainment and fellowship in Chatham’s beautiful Tecumseh Park without having to leave home.
All proceeds from Ribfest 2011 will be used to benefit existing Rotary projects, including our $50,000 commitment to building the new Chatham Kent Family YMCA and supporting existing Rotary Sunrise projects.
Ribfest 2009 capacity crowd enjoyed the sounds of David Wilcox, and Kim Mitchell brought down the house in 2010.
