Pistol Pete's from London, Ontario
Jack on the Bone from Massillon, OH USA
Jack on the Bone grew up in the catering business, working at his parents restaurant in the 1960s. This ribber joined the rib circuit in 1985, and Ribfest's have been full time job since 1992. Jack on the Bone attends 12-15 shows per year, with 4 scheduled in Canada this summer. This ribber has won numerous awards over the years including Canada's Largest Ribfest.
Gator BBQ from Everglade City, Florida USA
They now tour Ontario and the Northern U.S. States doing upwards of 30 ribfest's a year. Some of the awards they have won in 2008 were first place ribs Rochester New York, Best Pig Rig, Burlington Ontario, Best Food Booth Norfolk County Fair - to name a few.
Blazin’ BBQ from Chatham, Ontario
They are a small BBQ company on the rise, producing mouth-watering chicken and ribs at local Ribfest's. Since 2006 they have won numerous awards at a number of Ribfest's across Ontario.
Smokin’ Joes from Sarnia, Ontario
Originally established as a Sarnia restaurant in 1999, Smokin Joe’s has taken to the road to Ribfests across Ontario where they have been smokin’ up the competition.
Smokin Joe’s won their first Ribfest award in 2000, when they captured Best Overall Ribs, at the Sarnia Ribfest. Since this first win back in 2000, the have been racking up awards award all over Ontario, including four consecutive People Choice at Sarnia Ribfest from 2004 to 2008. They were also judged Best Ribs at the 2008 Sarnia Ribfest.
In 2003, Smokin Joe’s won the highest award, Peoples Choice, at Canada’s largest Ribfest in Burlington, Ontario, where they also placed third by judges. The following year in St. Thomas they once again won the Peoples Choice and place first by the judges.
Each rack of Smokin Joe’s ribs is individually wrapped, spiced, and slow cooked for maximum fall off the bone goodness. |
